Funky Box Studio‘s best selling boxes of 2015 are none other than our square little boxes with lid for jewelry. It was actually no surprise for us that they’d do this well. We had a bunch of people asking for boxes with lid, so we finally have them in several different sizes:

1. Our best selling – boxes with lid of 7.5 x 7.5 x 3 cm

Just like all the boxes in our shop, they can come in white, grey or natural brown kraft. They’re perfect for jewelry, small trinkets, brooches, to be used as party favors or any other small gifts. They’re easily personalized using washi tape, ribbons, stickers etc., and that also has a lot to do with their popularity.

2. A tiny bit larger boxes with lid – 9 x 9 x 3 cm

3. Rectangular boxes with lid – 9 x 7 x 3 cm

4. Larger boxes with lid – 16 x 15 x 6 cm and 15 x 13 x 6 cm

These ones are not yet listed in our etsy shop. They’re a bit problematic to list actually. Since they’re large and also heavy, they can not be shipped via regular parcel, but only as a package. Each country has a different shipping fee for packages, so i’m still trying to figure out how to have them listed.

October mood board inspiration. Hello, spooky October! Please, be good!

My October mood board inspiration is a bit on the dark, bleak, gloomy side. I’m pretty sure November will be even more so, but i’m getting a bit ahead of myself here.

I kind of started posting these mood boards at the beginning of each month. They pretty much represent how i see and how i feel each month. Well i have to say, despite the fact that autumn and these autumn months are not particularly my favorite, they are, however, very productive. Procrastination is long gone now and we’re on a full-scale working spree, just as i thought it would happen.

Our Funky Box Studio, our boxes and packaging supplies shop, is doing better and better (it’s just the beginning of the month, but we’ve already received 7 etsy orders and several more through direct mail. The same goes for Funky Print Studio, our letterpress printing shop. We’ve taken on a few very interesting projects that i actually can’t wait to talk about! We played with bold ink colors, we did some edge painting and we turned some letterpress cards into stickers!

My October mood board, however, doesn’t really share my enthusiasm over these things. And yet, the weather is a lot warmer for this time of year than it should be! And i’m thankful for that.

I’ve also set some major goals for October:

website makeover; i’ll have this website looking top notch. This must be done!
post as many of the projects we’ve already completed as possible. I even have the photos for them, so it should be easy…. right?
work on new designs for business cards and invitations
photograph and have up on etsy the bunch of new boxes we made.

Funky Box Studio’s card stock boxes transformed!

The title of this post is a bit dramatic, but not so far from the truth actually. I’ll show you how our card stock boxes get transformed once they reach our clients.

When i introduced the new small jewelry boxes with lid, i also showed you several photos of them being used by some of our clients. These photos can actually also serve as packaging inspiration, so i thought i’d post more of these.

A few months after we opened Funky Box Studio, a client bought a bunch of our medium size gift boxes and at the time she had told me she intended to transform them into mini suitcases. I would have never imagined such a cool result!

Another cool project our square card stock boxes were a part of is them being used as personalized packaging for some cute cork coasters. The gift boxes were hand printed by our client and we were absolutely in love with how they turned out! You can check our crafty client’s website over here.

The final “packaging project” i’m presenting today is one that i’m very fond of! Here’s Saloukee Jewellery‘s versions of our card stock boxes and gift bags!

New gable boxes; handle boxes; gift boxes

We’ve recently added some new gable boxes on Funky Box Studio and they do deserve a special blog post. I like them a lot! Actually they’re a different sized handle boxes that we already had listed in our shop over here. This time around, the gable boxes were intended to fit DVDs. So if you want to give your wedding guests mementos of the extraordinary event, you should use these handle boxes as packaging!
