Even though it’s been quite some time since we made these letterpress business cards with edge painting for our boxes and packaging shop, and also announced that we were working on them, i couldn’t really move on to something else before having a proper presentation for them.

At some point i was talking about how each project still brings something new for us. Well this time around, it was definitely the edge painting process. Since it was something we really wanted to try, we figured we should first have our own letterpress business cards with edge painting. It was quite thrilling (for me, of course! i’m the emotional one in our studio!), but we so nailed it! Edge painting is quite a delicate process and it is absolutely critical that you get it right on the very first try. Otherwise, you have to reprint the cards all over again. Basically, do everything all over. I think i’ll have a separate post about this as there’s much to talk about!

Well guess what? Right after our experience, we had two projects where we were asked for edge painting! It’s actually quite a nice feeling to be able to tell your client “Yes, i can do that!” The first project also had black edge painting; the second one, however, was very tricky from several points of view, not just the orange edge painting. Will definitely talk about this soon!

The custom letterpress business cards for TwoFour Creative Coalition’s Rich were really our ideal letterpress order. Be it a seller or buyer, you have that ideal transaction in mind: if you’re a buyer, you want the item to fit your needs and preferences, the seller to be nice, the shop to look appealing and so on; if you’re a seller, you want the client to be reasonable, to be satisfied with your items, to come back for a second time etc. So there are these general ideas each buyer and each seller has depending on various characteristics. Well for us, the letterpress business cards for TwoFour Creative Coalition were precisely that: ideal transaction. Conversation went smoothly, design was perfect, letterpress printing was a blast. The business cards and letterpress tags we did for Printsmith and the project we’ve just wrapped up were like this as well, so that makes me think that there’s a bright future ahead! Hehe!

Even though our upcoming summer holiday is all i can think about, we’re still working hard on our Funky Box Studio letterpress business cards… among other things. I did mention before that we’re also working on a couple of custom letterpress business cards order (they’re so minimalist you can’t help falling in love with them! Aaaand one of the two is my own creation! *feeling proud*) and also a new letterpress tags order (since we’re using the card stock you haven’t really seen in our photos yet, i’m really excited to complete this project!). Nevertheless, i can only show you photos of our own Funky Box Studio letterpress business cards.

We’ve opened FBS more than 2 years ago, but i have been struggling to find a font and logo that i really liked. I was in a constant searching process and i wasn’t happy with any of the outcomes. Well finally, 2 years and 400 sales later, yours truly is completely happy with FBS’s logo and font design! Yeah, it only took me this much… and i still have to choose the card stock!

Yep, i am completely satisfied with our new design. I can’t wait to show you photos from the printing process! That’s gonna be fun since we’ll also have 2 ink colors here. Playing with colors again!

[Behind the scenes] Custom letterpress tags and business cards for Printsmith

The custom letterpress tags and business cards we made for Printsmith couldn’t have been a more enjoyable project for us! When i was writing about the business cards we made for BURNISH + BONE, i mentioned the fact that it was really an emotional journey for me. Well this time around, everything went along smoothly from the beginning to the end!

First of all, i really like the design of Printsmith’s logo and i instantly new it’d look wonderful letterpress printed! The card stock choice was also good. I usually like working with the sparkling bright white card stock, but this time Printsmith’s Dora chose the porcelain-white one and it was definitely the best choice.
